Our transfers: standard, shared or private

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall, tracks your flight and drives you to your chalet, hotel or apartment. The standard or shared transfer is for parties of up to 3: you may share the minivan with other travellers, with a maximum of 3 stops on the route, and if nobody else books it runs as a standard transfer just for you. A private vehicle is for your party only and is priced per vehicle, not per seat:

Group Transfer From (weekday) Per person
2 people standard or shared transfer (up to 3 passengers) from €168 (≈ £145) €84.00 (≈ £72.14)
4 people private 7-seat minivan from €186 (≈ £160) €46.50 (≈ £39.93)
6 people private 7-seat minivan from €186 (≈ £160) €31.00 (≈ £26.62)
8 people private 8-seat minibus from €192 (≈ £165) €24.00 (≈ £20.61)

Skis, snowboards and luggage are included, and child seats are fitted on request. Saturdays and peak dates are priced higher; the exact price for your date and address is shown before you pay on the Geneva to Chamonix transfer page. All routes into the valley are on Chamonix transfers.

Other shared shuttles

Other operators sell single seats in a minibus or coach that collects passengers from several flights. These are the prices each operator published for Geneva Airport to Chamonix when we checked:

Operator Published price What it is
Alpine Fleet from £17 / €19.50 per person Shared transfer
Chamonix Valley Transfers from €30 per person Timetabled shuttle to Chamonix Sud; door-to-door shared from €45
Alps2Alps from €36 / £30 per person Shared transfer, headline price on its Geneva – Chamonix page
Mountain Drop-offs from €45 per person Shared transfer
Ski-Lifts from £60.03 per person Shared transfer, 2–8 passengers
Go Transfer Peak from €168 (≈ £145) per booking, up to 3 passengers Standard or shared transfer, door to door; private vehicles from €186

On price alone, the cheapest fixed-point seat (€19.50) beats a private vehicle at every group size: eight seats cost €156 against €192 for an 8-seat minibus. Against a €36 shared seat the picture changes with the group: two people pay €72 against €168 for our standard or shared transfer, four pay €144 against €186 for a private 7-seat minivan, five pay €180 — about level — and six pay €216. The full table for every party size is in Geneva transfer prices compared.

Coach

Geneva Airport’s coach station is outside the terminal on the arrivals level, signposted “Coach Station”. Swiss Tours, FlixBus and BlaBlaCar Bus all list services from there to Chamonix; the Chamonix tourist office names FlixBus for daily airport connections. Coaches arrive at the Chamonix Sud bus station on Avenue de Courmayeur. Seat prices change with the date, so check the operator’s site — and check the timetable against your landing time, because the coach will not wait for a late flight.

Train

There is no direct train from Geneva Airport to Chamonix. When we ran the Swiss Railways journey planner on 2 October 2026, the fastest route went from the airport to Geneva, then by Léman Express to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet and by the mountain line up to Chamonix: two changes and just under three hours. The alternative through Switzerland, via Martigny and Vallorcine, also needs two changes and takes about four hours. The winter 2026/27 international timetable had not yet been loaded.

Both ends of the mountain line have engineering works this autumn: Chamonix – Le Châtelard is closed from 28 September to 6 November 2026 with replacement coaches, and Martigny – Les Marécottes from 12 October to 23 November 2026. Check for notices before a winter journey.

Once you are in the valley the train is useful: with the guest card from your accommodation, the Mont-Blanc Express is free between Servoz and Vallorcine. Valley buses are not covered by the guest card — you need a ticket or a valid ski pass.

Taxi or Uber

Taxi. The official rank is outside the arrivals level. Geneva Airport publishes flat fares only for zones within Geneva; other destinations are charged at a regulated price per kilometre, so the total for the run to Chamonix is not known in advance.

Uber. Uber operates at the airport and sets the price in the app when you request the ride. It states that drivers are not guaranteed to have child seats, and for longer trips to places such as Chamonix its own airport page suggests its car-rental option. With skis and more than two people, check the vehicle before you rely on it.

Beyond Chamonix: Les Houches, Argentière, Vallorcine

The valley runs for some 15 km from Les Houches through Chamonix to Argentière, with Vallorcine beyond, and we price on the real road distance to your address rather than on one “Chamonix” zone: Geneva to Les Houches transfers from €160, Geneva to Argentière transfers from €174 and Geneva to Vallorcine transfers from €178 per vehicle on a weekday. Vallorcine lies beyond the Col des Montets, which can close in heavy snow. For the next valley west, Geneva to Megève transfers start from €149.
