Geneva to Avoriaz Transfer Cost 2026/27: Per Vehicle and Per Person

The short version

  • A Geneva to Avoriaz transfer costs from €166 (≈ £143) on a weekday. That is our standard or shared transfer for up to 3 passengers: door to door, in a minivan you may share with other travellers (maximum 3 stops); if nobody else books, it runs as a standard transfer just for you.
  • A private 7-seat minivan is from €184 (≈ £159) and a private 8-seat minibus from €190 (≈ £164) — about €23.75 per person when eight travel.
  • Other operators’ shared seats on this route were advertised from about £25 to £35 per person on 2 October 2026. Up to four people, a single seat is cheaper; at six a private minivan is about level; at eight the private minibus costs less per head.
  • Avoriaz is car-free. Every transfer, ours included, ends at the resort reception at the entrance; a snow vehicle takes you the last few hundred metres.
  • The drive is around 1h 20min for about 90 km in normal conditions.

Geneva to Avoriaz transfer cost by group size

Our standard or shared transfer is priced per booking for up to 3 passengers; private vehicles are priced per vehicle, not per seat. So the cost per person depends on your group:

Group Transfer From (weekday) Per person
2 people standard or shared transfer (up to 3 passengers) from €166 (≈ £143) €83.00 (≈ £71.28)
4 people private 7-seat minivan from €184 (≈ £159) €46.00 (≈ £39.50)
6 people private 7-seat minivan from €184 (≈ £159) €30.67 (≈ £26.34)
8 people private 8-seat minibus from €190 (≈ £164) €23.75 (≈ £20.40)

Skis, snowboards, boot bags and luggage are included, and child seats are fitted on request. See the price for your own date on the Geneva to Avoriaz transfer page, or all Avoriaz transfers from the four airports.

How that compares with a shared seat

Operator Published price What it is
Alps2Alps from €30 / £25 per person Shared transfer, headline price on its Geneva – Avoriaz page
Alpine Fleet from £28 / €32.50 per person Shared transfer
Ski-Lifts from £35 per person Shared transfer
Go Transfer Peak from €166 (≈ £143) per booking, up to 3 passengers Standard or shared transfer, to the resort reception; private vehicles from €184

Take the cheapest seat, €30, as the yardstick. Two people pay €60 for shared seats against €166 for our standard or shared transfer. Four people pay €120 against €184 for a private 7-seat minivan. Six people pay €180 against the same €184 — about level. Eight people pay €240 against €190 for a private 8-seat minibus.

A “from” seat price is each company’s cheapest case — usually a quiet date and a fixed departure time — and a shared vehicle waits for other flights. Ask where a shared shuttle sets you down: at the resort entrance, or at Les Prodains at the bottom of the cable car. The arithmetic for other resorts is in shared vs private transfer cost per person.

Avoriaz is car-free: where the transfer ends

No cars are allowed inside Avoriaz. The road from Morzine ends at the resort reception (Accueil Station) at the entrance, at 1,800 m, where passengers and luggage are unloaded; the resort describes the reception zone as open 24 hours a day. This applies to every vehicle — private transfer, shared shuttle, taxi or hire car.

  • Snow vehicles. You order one on arrival; they cannot be reserved in advance. On 2 October 2026 the resort’s website showed a single rate of €14 for one to five people, with or without luggage, plus €2 for each additional person.
  • Luggage sledges. If your building is close, you can walk and pull your bags on one of the resort’s sledges, released with a €1 or €2 coin.
  • Horse-drawn sleighs. The resort announced that the sleigh service ended on 7 April 2026 while the stables are rebuilt. Check avoriaz.com before counting on one this winter.
  • Prodains Express. The cable car from Les Prodains, above Morzine, reaches Avoriaz in about four minutes. The resort lists pedestrian hours of 7:00 to 21:00 Monday to Thursday and later at weekends, and an adult single at €9.00 in winter.

So budget for the resort’s own last leg on top of any transfer price, and tell us the name of your residence when you book.

What changes the price

  • The day. Saturday and school-holiday dates are priced higher by every operator; a Sunday or midweek arrival is the largest saving available. See weekday vs Saturday transfer prices.
  • The option. The from-price is the standard or shared transfer for up to 3 passengers; private 7-seat and 8-seat vehicles cost more.
  • The resort. Avoriaz is the top of the valley. Geneva to Morzine transfers start from €150 and Geneva to Les Gets transfers from €143.

Geneva to Avoriaz by bus, train or taxi

Bus. The Morzine tourist office says regular airport buses to Morzine run only in the winter season; the operators’ 2026/27 timetables had not been published on 2 October 2026. A bus gets you to Morzine, not to Avoriaz.

Train. There is no railway in the valley. The nearest stations are Cluses and Thonon-les-Bains, each about a 40-minute drive from Morzine according to the tourist office.

Taxi. Geneva Airport’s taxi rank is outside arrivals. For destinations outside Geneva the fare is calculated on a regulated price per kilometre, so it is not agreed in advance. A pre-booked transfer is the same journey with the price confirmed before you travel.
